Create a Custom List Field in the Purchase Order Form
Scenario:
Customer would like to add a custom field on their purchase order form. This field is a list type field that will show the list of their employees.
In this example, customer is adding a "submission in behalf of" on the PO/Request form. The same steps can be used for other transactions other that purchase order.
Here are the steps
Purchase Order>Customize>Customize Form
Screen Fields>Main>New Field
Name the field : Submission on behalf of
Type=List
List/Record field=Employee
Applies to = check the Purchase box
On the Display tab , set Subtab = Main
Then save
Go back to
Purchase Order>Customize>Customize Form
Screen Fields>Main
Make sure that the Name the field : Submission on behalf of show box is checked. You can just highlight the line and drag it upward or downward next to the line you want. Make sure that you also select the section you want it to be under either on the Primary Information, Classification etc. Please see screenshot below.
When you view the purchase this field would show up. See sample screenshot below.
