Scenario
A User encounters an error upon trying to view a Case Record:
- Error: That Search or Mass Update does not Exist (internal id=x)
Solution
This error message is likely due to the related Saved Search which the Case record is connected to. The Saved Search in question may be set to private, hence, a user with a Custom role is not allowed to view it.
Use the following steps to resolve:

- Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches
- From the list, locate the Saved Search with the Internal ID indicated from the Error
- Edit the Search
- Mark Public check box on the main line of the page
- Click Save
