Since the NetSuite is the central location of Inventory Information, any supported movement in its stock triggers the integration to update the product record in Shopify.
Here are some of the possible triggers:
- Placing a sales order in Shopify Website
- Adjusting the Inventory by using Inventory Adjustment
- Creating an Invoice
- Fulfilling an item
If the you use Single Direction Update of Inventory Information the triggers will depend on the direction where the inventory information located.
For Accounts the chose NetSuite to be the source of their Inventory Information the following statements will hold true:
- Any changes in the quantity in Shopify will not be sent to NetSuite.
- Any Shopify product updates will not sync back to NetSuite
